Visit southern Maine's largest museum of historic properties, located in the heart of York Village and along the York River. Learn stories of crime and punishment at the National Historic Landmark Old Gaol Museum, the country's earliest intact prison. Enjoy one of many programs throughout the year - community events, walking tours, lectures, and more! The Remick Gallery showcases an exceptional collection of early Maine decorative arts and artifacts. Open weekly for tours during the season, the Perkins House Museum, a 1730's ship captain's house turned summer cottage, bears witness to York's transformation from a sleepy port into a popular vacation destination in the 19th century.  Locals and tourists alike, we can't wait to greet you!
